Highlights
– Carried out distance soundings at the Murmansk block
– 3 signal processing techniques were applied
– Curves of apparent resistance were constructed for comparison with the data of other methods
Abstract. The purpose of the work is to obtain information about the geoelectric section in the depth range inaccessible to other methods used in the “Murman-2018” experiment. For this, a source and measuring equipment for frequency sounding were used. It was to determine the useful signal obtained in this way against a background of large noise. Three methods were tested: using the fast Fourier transform, using the discrete Fourier transform, and also the signal accumulation method. The advantages and disadvantages of each method were identified. The results of the work were used to interpret the complex of geoelectrical methods used in this experiment.
Keywords: electrical sounding, direct current, signal accumulation, fast Fourier transform, signal spectrum, discrete Fourier transform
